I HEARD THAT MULCHING AROUND PLANTS IN THE FALL IS BENEFICIAL? IS THAT TRUE?

Mulch is not only for retaining moisture in the hot days of summer, it is also used as an insulator for the cold days of fall/winter. You may choose to use compost in an herb garden or veggie garden. You can also use compost or bark mulch as an insulator for your flower beds. First, remove all weeds so you will have less germination in the spring then spread your compost/mulch to a depth of 3” thick for maximum results!
